Capacity and utilisation
Every year, approx. 2 million people and 800,000 vehicles use this centrally located garage. The high occupancy rate and efficient use reflect the importance of this “lifeline” of the city. In addition to long-term parkers (650-700) and residents, the garage is also reserved for 600 visitors during the Salzburg Festival.
Salzburg Parkgaragen Gesellschaft (SPG)
The SPG, a company of the city of Salzburg (60%) and the state of Salzburg (40%), manages the Altstadt Garage as well as other car parks, such as the train station garage and the Bastei car park. The operations are managed by Contipark by means of a lease agreement with SPG.
